About the Global, Environmental, & Outdoor Education Council (GEOEC)

Learn more about GEOEC executive duties and responsibilities


The Global, Environmental & Outdoor Education Council's Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday, May 11th, 2012 at 7 pm at the Kerry Wood Nature Center in Red Deer. Learn more about the Kerry Wood Nature Center here.

Light refreshments will be served at the meeting. All GEOEC members are encouraged to attend. Please indicate your attendance via email to scalzo@ualberta.ca no later than Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Hope to see you there!


 
Our group is one of 23 specialist Councils of the Alberta Teachers’ Association. Our mission is to promote quality professional development for teachers in the area of global, environmental, and outdoor education. If you choose to join us, you’ll receive news items in our quarterly newsletter Connections, as well as information about our workshop series. On this Web site, we’ve posted numerous free lesson plans, links to useful related sites, and information about our exciting Global Education Initiative.
